Star Wars Racer Revenge

Podracing with a demolition streak: wrecking rivals is the point, and the tracks are built to encourage it. Rougher and meaner than Episode I Racer, and a good sequel not enough people played. PlayStation only, as a ten-dollar PS2 Classic, and it is in the PS Plus Premium catalog.

A good sequel that not enough people played, and cheap to try on a PlayStation. Racer Revenge takes Episode I Racer's speed and makes wrecking your rivals the point, with eighteen other podracers who fight back. It is rougher and meaner than the first game, and more fun for it if you liked the crashes.

The only current version is the PS4 PS2 Classic at $9.99: the PS2 game emulated, rendered at 1080p, with trophies. It plays on a PS5 and sits in the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog, so check your subscription first. Sony notes that converted PS2 games can play slightly differently from the disc. The original PS2 disc on PS2 hardware is the other legal route.

PC players are out of luck; it never came to PC. Start with Episode I Racer, which is on every platform, and come here if you want more.
