The short version
Twin Suns Gaming is a small independent site. There are no user accounts, and we don't sell, rent, or trade your information. The only personal detail you can give us is your email address, and only if you choose to join the newsletter.
Newsletter signups
If you subscribe, we collect your email address and nothing else. It is stored with Resend, the service we use to manage the mailing list and send emails on our behalf. We use it only to send you Twin Suns Gaming updates.
Newsletter emails include standard engagement tracking: a tiny invisible image that tells us an email was opened, and links that pass through our own tracking address (links.twinsunsgaming.com) so we can see which stories get clicked. We use this only in aggregate, to learn what's worth writing more of and to stop emailing people who never open. If you block images in your email app, the open tracking stops working, and the newsletter still reads fine.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Analytics
We use two analytics tools, Vercel Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics, to understand which articles people read and where visitors come from. Neither uses cookies, and neither tracks you across other websites.
To count returning visits without identifying anyone, Vercel derives a temporary, rotating identifier from technical details of your request, such as your IP address and browser type. That identifier cannot be used to work out who you are, and we only ever see the aggregated totals.
Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical information your browser sends when it requests a page, including your IP address, and keeps short-lived logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Embedded videos and social posts
Articles sometimes embed YouTube videos. We load these click-to-play: until you actually click one, only a thumbnail is shown and nothing is loaded from YouTube. If you do click, YouTube receives your request and its own privacy policy and cookies apply from that point on.
Some articles also embed posts from Reddit, X, and Instagram, and those load when the page does: viewing such an article sends a request to that platform, whose own privacy policy applies to it. X embeds are loaded with the “do not track” flag set, which asks X not to use the view for ad personalization. We link the original post under every embed if you would rather read it on the platform directly.
Storage on your device
We save your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage so the site looks the same on your next visit. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you or to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your personal information; we will honor those requests regardless of where you are.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change a service that handles visitor information, we will update this page and revise the date above.
