Eight Star Wars games are on Game Pass today, and six of them require Ultimate or PC Game Pass, because they come through EA Play rather than the Game Pass catalog itself. The Essential and Premium tiers get you two: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Star Wars Outlaws. That is the whole trick to this list, and it is why the cheaper tiers are a bad deal for a Star Wars fan specifically.

We pulled the live Game Pass catalog on September 8, 2026, and filtered it for Star Wars. Catalogs change monthly; the date is in the title for a reason.

The Xbox One build of Survivor is a separate catalog entry, which is why the raw count is eight rather than seven. Treat it as seven games.

The tier math

Xbox's own plan page is unambiguous about what includes EA Play: Ultimate does, PC Game Pass does, Essential and Premium do not. Prices as of this week, after the April cut: Essential $9.99, Premium $14.99, PC Game Pass $13.99, Ultimate $22.99.

So for Star Wars the comparison is:

  • PC Game Pass, $13.99: all seven games on PC. The best value on this page if you play on a PC.
  • Ultimate, $22.99: all seven on console and PC, plus cloud.
  • Premium, $14.99: Skywalker Saga and Outlaws at most, and Xbox's catalog listing does not split by tier, so confirm those two in the app before you subscribe for them.
  • Essential, $9.99: same two at most, from a catalog Xbox describes as "50+ games."

A dollar more than Premium buys the PC tier with five more Star Wars games in it. If you play on console, Premium is the wrong tier for this franchise.

What each one is worth on a subscription

Jedi: Survivor is the reason to have EA Play. It is $69.99 at list on Steam, 25 to 35 hours, and the PC version has been fixed since 2024; we have a full worth-it page. Play Fallen Order first if you have played neither, and it is here too.

Battlefront II is the most played Star Wars multiplayer game on Steam by a wide margin, 1,000 to 1,750 concurrent in our tracker, and its 2017 launch controversy is a decade old. On a subscription it is the easiest recommendation on the list.

Squadrons is a 2020 flight game with no post-launch content, 45 to 85 players on Steam in our count, and the best Star Wars cockpit made this century. Worth an evening in single-player; the online queue is not what it was.

Battlefront (2015) is here for completeness. Its Steam count is under 50. The maps are still beautiful.

Outlaws joined in January 2026 and is the one game here we would not have told you to buy at launch. On a subscription it is worth twenty hours; the Outlaws hub has everything we have written about it, including the reports that its sequel and DLC were scrapped.

LEGO Skywalker Saga has been on Game Pass since December 2022 and is the best family game in the franchise; it won our LEGO ranking on every measure. On Deck and PC it is Verified and runs cold.

What is not on Game Pass

Zero Company, which EA is selling at full price with no EA Play date given. Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel, which are Xbox backward compatible but not in the catalog. The Old Republic, which is free to play anyway. Every Aspyr remaster: Battlefront Classic Collection, Bounty Hunter, Dark Forces Remaster, Jedi Power Battles, Episode I Racer. Republic Commando. Galactic Racer has not been announced for the service, and four weeks from launch that means it will not be there on day one.

The EA Play ten-hour trial applies to new EA games that are not yet in the full catalog; nothing on this list is a trial, they are full games.

How we checked

The Game Pass catalog's public listing, pulled September 8, 2026, and cross-checked against Xbox's EA Play listing and the plan comparison page. Tier-by-tier catalog splits are not published for Premium and Essential, so those two are marked "check" rather than asserted. If you spot a change before we do, tell us and this page gets updated.
