Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
The trilogy's ending, and the divisive one. The flying is Factor 5 at full strength; the on-foot missions bolted on around it are stiff and nobody asked for them. Play it for the space combat and the co-op. GameCube only, like Rogue Leader.

Playing it today
Worth owning for the co-op, even though the main campaign is the weakest of the three. Rebel Strike scored 75 on Metacritic, and the on-foot missions Factor 5 added are the reason: stiff, and nobody asked for them. The flying missions are as good as Rogue Leader's.
The real draw is the two-player mode, which rebuilds most of Rogue Leader's campaign for split-screen co-op with harder, reworked missions. It also hides unlockable versions of Atari's three 1980s Star Wars arcade games. For a lot of people that makes this the one disc to buy.
Like Rogue Leader, it has never been re-released, and the Wii compilation that would have carried it was cancelled. The options are a GameCube, or a Wii with model number RVL-001 on the bottom, plus a used disc and GameCube controllers. Skip it if you play alone and already own Rogue Leader.

There is nothing to buy new. A used GameCube disc, played on a GameCube or an original Wii, is the only legal way to play it.
GameCube only. Wii consoles with model number RVL-001 play GameCube discs and take GameCube controllers; the later RVL-101 Wii, the Wii Mini, the Wii U and Switch do not. A Wii compilation of the Rogue Squadron games was cancelled when Factor 5 closed.
