The best Star Wars games on Switch, ranked: buy LEGO Skywalker Saga for $11.99 this week

The best-reviewed Star Wars game on Switch is a pinball game, with an 86 from thirty critics; nothing else on the eShop comes within three points. Zen's 2019 package holds nineteen Star Wars tables for $29.99, about $1.58 a table, with no sale running. A two-table Thrill of the Hunt pack is sold separately at $9.99 inside Pinball FX; whether other Star Wars packs exist on the Switch build we could not confirm, so check on the console first.

The best Star Wars game you can buy on a Switch, and the best value on this list. BioWare's 2003 RPG has the twist everyone knows and it still lands, and the story stands with anything Star Wars has made in any medium. Aspyr brought it to Switch in November 2021, it scored 83 from 26 critics, and it is $14.99. It ranks second to a pinball game only because the method starts with the Metascore; if you asked us which one to play, the answer is this one. The buy this week. All nine films in one game for $11.99 until October 12, down from a regular eShop price of $39.99, while PlayStation has it at full price. It scored 82 on Switch from seventeen critics, and it is the only game here you can play on the couch with a six-year-old and both enjoy. Skip the $2.99 character packs unless one matters to you. The 1995 shooter, rebuilt by Nightdive on its KEX engine with the original levels intact, mazes included. Kyle Katarn's first campaign is a better single-player game than most of the Aspyr ports here, and the Switch version's 81 is the highest score the remaster got anywhere. It takes fourth on a tie with Outlaws because Dark Forces runs on every Switch and Outlaws does not. Switch 2 only. There is no original-Switch version. Massive's open-world scoundrel game arrived on Switch 2 on September 4, 2025 as the Gold Edition and reviewed at 81 from 28 critics. It runs at a 30fps cap with DLSS upscaling and ray tracing, a sentence nobody expected to write about a Nintendo handheld. $35.98 through October 7, down from $59.99, is the second-best deal on the eShop this week. Obsidian's sequel is darker, better written in places, and unfinished in ways the first game is not. It scored 76 on Switch, and the port has a history you should know before paying $14.99. When Aspyr launched it in June 2022, the store page promised a free Restored Content DLC, the fan project that puts the cut ending back. Aspyr cancelled that DLC in June 2023, a buyer sued over the promise, and the case settled in November 2025 with the terms kept confidential. The Switch version today is the game as it shipped in 2004, with no official way to add the restored content. The 1999 podracer, ported by Aspyr in June 2020. The sense of speed still holds, it scored 70 from seventeen critics, and it is $14.99. Three games tied at 70; Racer goes first because it has nothing to apologise for, no compatibility note and no unconfirmed score, and it is $5 cheaper than Jedi Power Battles, the other couch game here. With Galactic Racer unconfirmed for Switch 2, this is the podracer you can buy.

The 2005 clone squad shooter, ported by Aspyr in April 2021, $14.99, and a 70 from seventeen critics, the same as Racer. It ranks below Racer for one reason: when the Switch 2 launched, Nintendo put Republic Commando on its list of games with issues on the new console, and it stayed there until an update on December 16, 2025 cleared it. We could not confirm what the issue was. Today Nintendo's line reads "Supported" like everything else here, so it is fine to buy. The Bounty Hunter and Republic Commando Bundle is $29.99, $4.99 less than buying both.

Jango Fett's 2002 PS2 game, remastered by Aspyr in August 2024 with Boba Fett as an unlockable skin. It is $19.99 on Switch and $7.99 on PlayStation this week, where it also maps Jango's weapons to the DualSense triggers; if you have the option, buy it there. The 70 is what a price tracker shows, and we could not find a Switch Metascore on Metacritic to confirm it, which is why it sits under two confirmed 70s that cost $5 less. If the number holds, the verdict is the same.

Raven's 2003 lightsaber game, still the best saber combat in any Star Wars game to some of us: single sabers, staffs, dual wield, and a campaign that lets you pick your own path. Aspyr's port arrived in March 2020; 68 from fifteen critics; $19.99. It sits below the 70s on score alone. $19.99 is a lot for a 2003 game when its predecessor is $10 cheaper on the same store; the choice is Academy's freedom against Outcast's tighter story.

Starkiller's 2008 power fantasy, ported by Aspyr in April 2022. The Force pushes still feel good; the rest is a 2008 action game with a 2008 camera, and it scored 65 from twenty critics at $19.99. That makes it the weakest value in the top eleven, a 65 at the same price as Jedi Academy and Bounty Hunter. Buy it on sale or for nostalgia, not for the story, which is fine and short. The sequel is not on Switch.

The 2002 predecessor to Jedi Academy, with a stronger campaign and Kyle Katarn's best outing. Aspyr's September 2019 port was the first of its Star Wars line on Switch, it scored 64 from eleven critics, and at $9.99 it is the cheapest game on this list. The score puts it here; the price argues for higher, because $9.99 for Outcast's campaign is a fair trade and it is the better single-player game of the two Jedi Knight ports. We left it at 12 to keep the method honest. Play it before Academy if you plan on both.

The PS1 co-op brawler from 2000, brought back by Aspyr in January 2025 with thirteen new playable characters and modern controls. Couch co-op through The Phantom Menace is the pitch, and a real one for two people who remember it. The 58 is a price tracker's figure; Metacritic's page only showed the Dreamcast and PS1 scores when we checked, so treat it as unconfirmed. Even a few points higher, $19.99 is more than it is worth on Switch when it is $7.99 on PlayStation this week and Racer covers the same couch for $5 less.
